Foundry Lofts, a project in downtown Ann Arbor at 413 E. Huron Street, has topped out. The new apartment building now stands 14 stories tall. This project has been of interest to local architects because of the post-tensioning concrete technique, which was used to reinforce the concrete slabs. When the Foundry Lofts building is complete, it will include apartment units, retail space, and underground parking for residents.
This topping out is a milestone for the construction project to reach – it means the majority of the structural work is completed.
